Game Issues:
-General stuttering performance (lack of optimization, streaming, memory leak)
-Large number of crashes
-Poor textures in game
-Texture "Spasms"
-Texture Corruption
-Lack of Rain Shader
-Lack of Ambient Occlusion
-Lack of suitable in game Anti Aliasing, forced AA slows game by a large margin
-Lack of suitable antisotropic filtering
-Lack of suitable Graphic Scaling options
-No FOV Adjustments
-No Aspect Ratio Adjustments
-No Film Grain, Cromatic Aberration or Motion Blur Toggles
-Lack of ULTRA options
-Model rendering errors (Missing or Misplaced Models)
-No (good) SLI support
-No Crossfire Support
-30 FPS Cap
-Lack of optimization of Nvidia Gameworks
-No scaling for mouse sensitivity
Add to that the lack of a thorough and suitable response from WB, Rocksteady and/or Iron Galaxy.
-No timeline for any optimization
-No explanation given as to why such a substandard product was released
-No explanation as to why the PC Port was deprioritized in favor of PS4 and Xbox One editions
-No explanation as to why the PC Port was given to a console studio
-No explanation as to why the PC Port was given to a console studio with a team of 12 people
-No technically acceptable explanation as to why the PC Port has far poorer visual fidelity than it's console counterparts
-No explanation why the PC Port was crammed to be completed in 8 weeks
I think that sums it up. I WAS holding out, but the more I read about the extent of issues, I have asked steam to refund my purchase. IF, and I mean IF this game is EVER truly fixed, perhaps I would give it a second chance at a reduced price. I would strongly encourage those of you who are dissatisfied with the release to seek a refund. If you don't own Witcher 3, get that. CDPR had a little rough patch on release with us but they worked their asses off to fix their product, and I must commend them for doing so.
If you are satisfied with how the game performs for you, that's excellent and I reccomend you keep it.
