NVIDIA Preparing GTX 660/670 SE, Radeon HD 8000 Performance
NVIDIA is preparing another iteration of GK104 GPU, which will be featuring the Second Edition (SE) naming. While we think about second editions, we should think about GTX 670 SE, because there is no GTX 660 yet, so how could there be a SE model? My personal thought is that there are three cards coming – including GTX 660, GTX 660 Ti and GTX 670 SE. Another idea is that all cards will be named GTX 660, just like previous generation, but therefore, SE model would arrive later, and be even more castrated (considering 560SE performance).

The third GK104 GPU is expected in upcoming month. If OBR-Hardware is right, it should not be available until September (this would confirm previous leaks from Overclockers.co.uk). That’s six months after its competitor’s HD 7800 series were released, as our commentator BestJinjo points out.

意思是猜测阉割卡的规格和怎么命名。该消息认为670SE是GK104割掉2组SMX得来，660TI再割掉一组，再割下去就不象样了所以更低一档的是GK106。

说反了，不是喜欢阉割，是造的完整芯片剩下的残次品，修正下芯片，就是中低端的货了。

两家都是一年出一代新卡,两家都是精简残次芯片做稍差一级的型号,每个型号显卡都从新设计和流片成本太高了.
