Tired of seeing naked enemies stand there and take about 15 hits to the face with a sword before dying? This mod is designed to lessen the boring grind of smacking opponents a thousand times, while also giving a reason to level up the strength attribute!
Slice through enemies as if you were Conan himself!
This mod alters how much damage you do based off of your strength and ranged skill, while also making higher tier armors protect exponentially better than lower tier armors.
For example: at 0 strength with a stone sword, it might take 50 hits to kill a heavily armored NPC, and 10 hits for a naked NPC. Conversely, at 50 strength with an iron sword, you could kill an armored NPC in 1 hit! (You can 1 shot a naked NPC at around 25+ strength.)
This mod also changes how unarmed combat works, as fists now knock people out instead of making their bodies explode. (However, be careful; if you have the strength of Conan you might still kill them before they get knocked out (also you can beat them to death if you punch them long enough while they lay unconscious)).
Truncheons now deal increased concussion damage, with a big boost to the heavy truncheon attack (to reduce the large number of hits it takes to knock someone out).
Also... Grubs now fill you up 25 points instead of 5, because description even says "Disgusting, yet filling", and it is the size of a small dog. (Not that dogs are... filling.. it's just a size comparison okay?)
This mod is a work in progress for sure; it has not been tested on any servers, so I don't know how well it plays in multiplayer. Feel free to leave feedback, as I have not extensively tested this mod.
It deals with the following files:
BP_ProgressionSystem, affecting the bonus damage based on attribute system.
BPBaseCombat, affecting the way that armor works, making it scale better depending on the amount of total armor.
ItemTable, which gives fists concussive damage, the grub more grubbiness, the truncheon more concussive damage, and giving certain weapons altered armor penetration.
If you enjoy a quicker combat, you might enjoy this. Playing with high vitality works fine still, as enemies who gang up, do a lot of damage. If you run out of stamina, you still could die against a high leveled mob. And armor has been tweaked, so a high armor skill might actually benefit a lot if you want to tank. So a balanced approach to stats could benefit you a lot.
