包括已经出现的阿历克斯、古烈、息吹、以及后面尚待披露的茱莉、拜森、尤里安都将会率先出现在故事模式中并且可使用化、但也仅限于故事模式可用,这些角色暂时还不能开放并用于练习或比赛,还需要等待进一步平衡性调整,不过对于尝鲜来说是一个不错的体验

本作剧情发生在《街头霸王4》与《街头霸王3》时间线之间,以维加操控正在执行黑月计划的影罗秘密组织走向衰落为主线,和之前采用2D手绘的角色剧情篇不同,本次的故事模式将以全程语音的3D形式亮相,过场中会插入战斗部分,动画约有2个小时,全长约为4个小时
