【介绍】
一群PC平台上的在天使之城竞赛的飙车一族。其知名度虽不如极品飞车系列，但在测试驾驶或GT赛车方面，洛城狂飙也算的上是款赛车力作。
游戏的整体风格类似现今横扫欧美游戏榜的《GTA》系列。游戏的舞台设在美国洛杉矶，采用高自由度和任务制游戏方式，结合飚车、警匪追击等各色的游戏内容，制作组希望给玩家带来新的体会。对此，制作组还专门为本作开发了一套全新的引擎，更逼真的再现洛杉矶的原貌以及好莱坞、贝弗利山等场景，另外，为了增加游戏的刺激感，游戏中所有的场景都可以被破坏。
与GTA系列不同的是，本作中将可以对自己的赛车进行细致的改装，以满足极速狂飚的欲望，除此，游戏中汽车的种类也颇为丰富，并提供各具特色的零部件让玩家选择使用。
音乐方面，游戏将收录MTV频道中的流行歌曲及该频道的广告，同样，MTV也会在其电视节目的70多首MTV中穿插该游戏的画面。
另外的特点包括： 高度可破坏的对象和环境、超过50辆概念汽车和从乘驾杂志和西海岸风俗的创造。
